Marriage is not a commitment. It's an institution with a sexist history, even if it's relatively smoothed out now. Now it's a financial transaction plus certain immigration and hospital visitation rights.
So basically she believes that no one should have sex except for the express purpose of creating children, and in fact should not even have sex except for when the woman is at her most fertile, and therefore it is wrong for gay people to get married because a married couple are expected to have sex and they can't reproduce. Yeah, she's not homophobic, she's just puritanically insane. She must have a really low sex drive to be able to believe all that bs, and not understand that most people want more than that.
Well good for that person to live in a prison of her own construction. The rest of us will go on enjoying the wondrous natural luxuries of life AND not being looked down on by a petty and capricious God.
