As I am writing this I am sipping a cup of tea with my laptop on my belly. I can not fall asleep at all. I have just sat there on my back with my eyes closed for the longest time. I eventually just called it quits and now I am just browsing the Internet. I need to get to sleep but just can't, what are some things you do to help fall asleep yourself?

Sudoku. I get through one or two puzzles, then I can't keep my eyes open.

I usually make sure my room is a little cool, pitch dark, and quiet.

Another thing I do is reading a book sometimes that'll help too.

I just put some spring rolls in the toaster oven. My cat is watching me. Yep, I will not be falling asleep for a while now

I've had some issues falling asleep as of late. For the last month or so, I've barely slept more than 3 at a time. I just get on the computer, do some puzzles, or do some squats, jumping jacks, etc. to try and tire myself out.

I just think it's school related stress. If it persists, I'll go see a doctor.

To my fellow insomniacs, I wish you all a good night

Let's see.... All my homework is done, no studying needed. Heck, I don't remember the last time I studied. I usually fall asleep real easy, I have no idea what could be any different about this night from any other night.

Warm milk with honey always helps me to sleep, and I have to turn off my laptop first or I'll wake up and be online the rest of the night.

Spring rolls just finished and I'm so glad I'm still awake! As I went back to my room from the kitchen, I found my Knife Fish on the floor! I quickly put it back in its tank and shut the lid. I guess I must have left the lid off when I fed it before I "went to bed". If I wasn't awake, that fish would have slipped out without a sound.

Reading for leisure at night makes me feel sleepy, no matter how interesting the book is. I will try something new tonight: recalling, with tons of details, every single thing that happened today since I woke up. It's like counting sheeps, but with the plus of memory improvement.

I have sleeping disorders too, so I take medication that helps me to sleep. Without it I'd sure be a human bat.

I usually take sleeping aids or drink tea or a combination of both.

I'm listening to one of my classical music playlists. That should help me fall asleep. I will also shut down my laptop and if that doesn't work in a half hour, I will have no idea what to do.

I usually read for a bit before going to bed. It helps me to relax. If I can't fall asleep then I listen to a book on tape or some calming music. Also, there are some pretty wonderful sleep hyponosis tapes that have helped me fall asleep. It's definitely worth a google search.
