:/ what is even more scary now is that if anything people are less fearful of HIV. l've heard straight people say they wouldn't be terrified of getting it because now it's "like managing diabetes." Maybe true in some cases, just not a predictable enough disease to be relaxed about IMO.
I don't know how many times I've brought this topic up in conversation, only to be told that "HIV only really happens in Africa, and anyway its not so bad there anymore."
It's so sad that this video only has 42 views. This needs to be heard. When 20% of the gay men in our country have a disease that is ultimately life threatening and more than half of those men don't know it, something needs to be said. Everyone should here this, whether they're gay, straight, or bisexual.
Someone I know who is HIV positive told me he's actually been asked by people if he could please give them HIV because it would be easier to not have to worry about catching it, and because it's not a big deal anymore to have it these days anyway. He wasn't asked this just once, multiple times. What's wrong with those people?
