eh. l've taken the actual test before and although right now l would say 6, l'm not a 6 because of my experience with men. so l voted 4 because l can't see the point in having any integrity in the test if you don't follow the rules lol.

l think l scored 4. But l sometimes wonder why this is the one thing concerning sexuality from the WW11 era people still hang onto >.>

I put myself as a 5, mostly because I had small crushes and one relationship with girls. And at the same time, I don't want to rule women out completely. But otherwise, I prefer men over women by far.

And why do you hate it?

It only takes two genders into account, it makes it seem as if you have to be equally attracted to men and women to be Bisexual, it lumps romantic and sexual attraction together... It's just a really bad way of measuring something as complex as sexuality.

Aside from this it doesn't really measure orientation so much as sexual activity.

Many people who identify as totally gay in orientation are going to test lower than 6.

So when certain stats use the Kinsey scale to estimate LGBT populations, it's misleading because fewer "homosexuals" are going to be counted.

Which makes me wonder why there was even an attempt to figure out the number of homosexuals this way in the 1940s, considering many of them would have been heterosexual in practice then or would maybe test as a 2 or 3.

l think it was more of an attempt on K's part to show that "heteros" engage in "homosexual activity" which at the time was very shocking but is kind of old news now >.>

I'm in-between a 5-6 on the scale. I love ladies, and I'm only sexually attracted to them, but at the same time I could have some small admiration crushes on guys and enjoy looking at them ugh. 5, I guess.

Agreed. There's no sexuality polls that actually works for me and to complicate matters even more, I have so many different conceptualizations and interpretations that there cannot be a scale that can be used as a reference point to accurately determine the average points of physiological states.

  19. I voted 1, only because I have slight sexual attraction to certain women, although I would never be in a relationship with one.
