On the Republican side, John McCain won the states of Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas and Vermont. Along with the states, he also captured the delegates needed to get the Republican nomination for president. After McCain got the nomination, Huckabee dropped the race. Why is Ron Paul still in the race?... On the Democrat side, Barack Obama won the state of Vermont. Hillary Clinton won the states of Ohio, Rhode Island, and Texas. She needed those states to continue the race. Delegate rich Ohio and Texas will definitely help her get closer to the nomination. Any thoughts on the results of the March 4th Primaries?

| Guest Posts: n/a | Its great new for the Clinton campaign and we are finally seeing the gap closing between Obama and Clinton but the battles between the two senators remain fierce and very close, and it is far from certain that America will get the clear outcome from these latest battles that it needs. But as Hilary Clinton said to cheering crowds in Ohio recently: "The people of Ohio have said it loudly and clearly. We're going on, we're going strong and we're going all the way." |

Not that it matters much what i think anyway, but i seem to know more about American politics than UK. ![]() In fairness though, UK politics is as boring as watching paint dry, and i cant look at Gordon Brown for too long without wanting to cringe. ![]()

The democratic party is going to be in serious trouble if two candidates are on the ballot for the election, and I think if the main party conference has to decide the candidate, it won't give an outcome anyone will like. |

Most Obama supporters would support Hillary if she were the candidate and vice versa. They just need to keep up a good fight to keep the interest alive and make sure they don't deal fatal blows to each other that the Republicans can pick up on. Democrats '08, all the way.
