Wondering how the lgbt men view their own bodies and the prevalence of body related self-esteem issues.

When faced in the mirror, I view my body as the one with a perfect shape. But in other people's eyes it looks like a twig.

I would like to gain some weight though. Being thin makes me helpless, and I feel awkward every time I walk in front of a group of guys who has good body structure. But I am not all that kinda' thin.

And I do not even want to wear sleeveless shirts because it will just emphasize my thinness.

    p.s.

    I did not vote xD

    Where the gay mans choice of wanting to lean up? Don't want to tone down, and don't want to bulk up. ;-;

l have this kind of thing too, all l can see is this attractive figure in the mirror.

But then when around women with a whole lot more uhhh...going on, l feel like a pubescent boy.

I chose option 2 but I don't HATE my body. I think my body is "ok". Wouldn't mind losing my "pizza ring" though.

I don't love my body, but I don't hate it... I kinda apply to option 2 and 3 for different reasons. I want to lose weight, but gain a bit of muscle

    :roflmao:

I think there must be something wrong in the mirrors that emphasizes our body structure.

lol. l never feel like l can tell how l truly look in the mirror.

This is weird, but once l decided to make a YT video of just my body (of course l NEVER showed anyone) just to see how it looks on film and probably to other people.

And l really thought l just looked even sexier xD but l kind of think the camera actually does exaggerrate body shape somehow

I'm fine with my body, but if I bulk up then I'll be happy. I'm already starting to work out on a daily basis.

I am a little bit curious, I want to try what you just did to see how my body looks on film too. LOL.

Maybe it is the angle we are placing the camera that emphasizes our body shape. Hmmmm..

Wow, I was the first(Gay men) to vote "The Sex" lol

I'm not sure what the means and it seems to have an egotistic feel.....But it was the only option for content with ones body, and I am. I work out and eat healthy, but only for tone, tightening, and staying healthy. I am a tad on the shorter side so to slim will make me look prepubescent and having too much muscle looks odd on shorter men in my opinion.

However, I am a special case because I have dealt with serious self-esteem issues in the past, but never for reasons connected to my sexuality. So I certainly could have experienced body image issues, hadnt my body have naturally been the build I prefer to be. :/

Where's the "Gay man and I wish I could trade in my body for a new one because I hate everything about it" option?

I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle, really. I've lost weight and shit but I'm still 22 and nobody wants to date me.

Meh, I don't really care about my body. I never seem to gain any weight and I don't want muscles, so my body is fine. Maybe I'd care if I suddenly started to get fat :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

First bi guy for The Sex coming in hot!

Haha honestly I think that option might be an exaggeration for me, but I definitely don't hate my body. I'd love if I could put on a couple more pounds of muscle, but not more than that.

Sorry to see so much self-body-hate so far though... barely any positive/neutral answers :/
