I'm on a laptop now, almost 3 years old, pretty good specs. It lets me game the way I want. My only complaint is that it's big, which I realize now is impractical as a student, but besides that I like it.

I'm not sure I've ever really gotten attached to it though. I wouldn't mind getting a new one in a year or two, if/when it dies out.

I have a 1 year old Macbook pro. It was a requirement for my major when I started. Now, it's not because of Final Cut X...

I don't know how to vote… I have a Macbook Pro, and I love OSX, but the specs are kinda meh. Apple makes great software, but their hardware lacks something.

l have an Asus. lt's nice, it's a good brand but unless you really look for an ultra thin, their laptops are kind of huge imo. Mine is new and maybe over 5 pounds.

I shunned computers for ages. I am a redneck. Then I figured out computers on PCs. I avoided Apple cuz well, they look so gay! And stuck ups like them...um, no offense there thecat06! *grin*

So, I researched for school and um...MacBook Air is the best. It does NOT have a place for DVDS, the only issue. But very light and durable and great resolution so with the fast i7 processor I can sign in ASL and undy and be clear to my Deafies!

I used to have an old, falling-apart Dell laptop (half the keys didn't work), but have recently bought a nice Dell Inspiron. :icon_bigg

I build my own pc. Current one isn't amazing, but its better for cheaper than anything I could buy in a store prebuilt.

For my main computer, I prefer a Mac. I also have a few Linux systems, and if I really need it I can spin up a Windows VM.

I have a Macbook and a Toshiba laptop. I use both frequently. I prefer the Mac though.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad running Windows 7. It's a gaming computer, and I absolutely adore it.

I'm jumping into the mac bandwagon. I'm a mac fan as well- my first mac laptop died a month ago but ran smoothly for nearly five years up till then. My replacement computer? Another mac.

Once you go mac you can't go back.

I've got a 4 year old MacBook and I love this thing, it's my baby. I would probably die without it.

Mid-2012 I got a new laptop since my Dell desktop tower(well the hard drive died for the 4th time) and monitor died after 7 years and I came into a little money so I decided to get a new laptop, which is a Dell XPS 14Z. I love it. I wanted an Apple Macbook Pro, but didn't want to spend the money and get less for the money as well.

My desktop is still the PowerMac G5 i bought a good 7 or 8 years ago. It was one of the last ones made before Apple switched to Intel chips. I really only use it for photo editing, and these days I can't upgrade software because no one supports PowerPC processors anymore. But it has 12GB RAM, functions great, and so as long as I can keep using the software that's on it (currently photoshop CS2 and lightroom 2), I'm not upgrading. My laptop is my main computer for all other purposes, anyway.
