Is anyone here good at removing the hiss from a sound file? I recorded it, but my mic was too quiet, and when I upped the volume, the static in the background was almost unbearable.

I've got audacity, I just don't know how to use the more complicated parts.

I was going to recommend audacity, but you've got it already. If you use the hiss filter, it might make whatever you recorded sound out of tune or weird.

PM me and I'll do it for you! I'm a composer, so I've got decent software for that kind of thing.

Ahh, audacity. That particular feature is rather annoying isn't it?
Sorry I can't be much help; I'm still kinda trying to figure it out for myself.
