Would you switch to Apple from PC if costs went way down?

?

If prices were lowered to reasonable, would you switch from a PC to Apple computers?

    Hi!

On my poll about PC vs. Apple, PC wins out.
But one reason is cost...most seem to really like the light weight stuff like my MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.
So, if Apple Macintosh were to lower the prices of laptops to a reasonable price compared to a PC, not cheap just hundreds less, would you then switch?

So vote if you are a current PC fan, and secretly an Apple fan, and would buy Apple computers if they were reasonably priced!

I'd probably still use a PC for word processors and things like that. But, if I learned to use the programs for Apple products, I could be swayed otherwise. I've used both and like both of them. I'm just more familiar with PC is all.

I think Apple computers are reasonably priced.
I'm both a PC and Mac user.

My windows laptop, which i spent £1200 on, has lasted my a little over 3 years.
It is now terribly slow, over heats and is only really good for when a PC is needed.
It's been upgraded often with latest OS updates and the like.
I tend to format and re-install the OS every 6 month
It may aswell be a desktop, because the battery holds about 30 minutes charge.

    My macbook pro....
    I think it was £1250?
    Has lasted me 4 years.
Still as good as an experience as ever.
The battery life isn't as good as it was, but that's getting replaced soon.

l always want to say l don't give a shit but every time l use someone's Macbook l'm jealous.

Though most of the people l know with Macs have had some kind of hardware issue. My mother's was a melting battery which was a thing with some Macbooks.

I've built most of the computer that I use, but if Macs were like, 200 dollars less then I might, MIGHT, try one. But from my experience, PC's are much better than Macs.

Why do you have TWO laptops?!

I would probably buy an Apple if they were priced similarly to the equivalent PC in terms of specs.

I have both but I prefer the PC, you cant play games on the Mac, it just seems very silly, and everything I can do on the Mac I can do on my PC

I would never, when you buy an Apple product, you spend like 50% of its price just to pay the brand, when I could get a much more powerful PC for much less, besides, I think I'd be formatting to install Windows 7...

I already have tons of apple products, most being gifts. When I'm older I'll probably go for whatever is cheaper, but I do prefer apple products.

If the software I use on a daily basis was available for Mac, and if Apple products offered me something more for my money than the cheaper PC brands, then I'd probably go "ooo, this is reasonably priced, useful and therefore totally worth paying out for" and snap one up. Just for giggles rather than an appreciation of the Apple brand.

Maybe. I'm not sure. I don't have anything against Apple and my first computer was a Mac. But I like my PC. It's what I'm used to.

I did a ton o research, and asked buddies, and also I hated Apple and only used PC. Because mom had money she needed to blow, we got iMac home computer with i5 processor and I got 13" screen MacBook Air with i7. Why? I am Deaf. Point what? Speed of ASL. See we Vlog, use VP, sign to each other. We don't use sound. So the speakers are eh in importance to me. I turn it up to hear YouTube, but prefer good captions..something internet peeps all should do. But I tried out other PCs and I saw blurriness when I signed...it was so bad no way a beginning signer could communicate! The i5 is a tad blurry but clear enough for me to use and cost $1000 less for home computer. But the i7 is so clear I can almost distinguish each finger! And even better, if the other user happens to signing to me via iPad or iPhone, it gets better! :O

I chose Air cuz it is lighter than a book, under 3 lbs., and solid. it has backlighted keys too. It doesn't get hot much. PCs run hotter.

My dissatisfaction is no DVD player, I would need buy a portable device for that. O, E,N, M, and spacebar keys wearing off the black so i can't read letters. Didn't come with Word...pay extra. (but as student I got free download!)

I am satisfied from weight alone, I can take it anywhere.

No. Don't feel like learning another operating system. If someone just gave me a Macbook, then I'd try to learn to use it.

I've had both a PC and Mac since the late 90s.
