I am a Lesbian who just came out to her family.I would like to make a small group of friends who Gay or lesbian. I do not know where to look or where to start. I do not have a job so I am looking for some free groups to join in Beaverton, OR. Pleaes give me some tips if you have any on how I can meet some like minded friends who fall under the GLBT plaease aand thank you. (&&&)
I'm nowhere near Beaverton, but I think a good place to look is a library or a social club. Google meetups, lgbt groups, etc. Another good place to find friends might be a pride march or similar. Good luck in finding people!
There are social networking sites for meeting local people with common interests. Meetup worked for me. Facebook might even have something if you're lucky. Found a NYC Nintendo 3DS group that way.
