What new thing did you most recently learn? I learned that it's offensive in continental Europe to not look into someone's eyes as you toast them. I was told this by a hot 30 year old Czech dude on a gay night.

Hm, I learned how to compute the inverse of block matrices. Split up the big matrix into blocks then take the inverse (1/(ad-bc))[(d -b)/(-c a)] for each subsection. Um, not fun.
