Hating Valentines Day

I love it!!!!! V-day is my anniversary. (!)

 

i hate it because....its Annoying. i only ever get anything from my dad...

I don't hate or love the day. I also think both sides (people in relationship celebrating it & those alone bitching about it) are annoying as fuck.

 

Eh, indifferent.

I'm not with anyone, and I completely forgot about Valentines Day until I saw this thread.

 

sales valentines candy..? anyone?

 

Because I love hearts, fluffy things and all of that tack I naturally like some commercial aspects of the day. Not during the run up/day itself, obviously, I'm not paying three times the price for something just because it has a heart on, but as someone else said; the sales are brilliant.

 

I love it!

I've never spent it with a Significant Other, but I like hanging out with my friends that day or trying to think of a little gift for one of them to make them feel less lonely.

It may make this seem more selfish, but I do so in the hopes that one day these acts will find their way back to me. Of course even if they don't, what does it hurt to spend the day with those you care about and spoil them alittle? It makes the day brighter either way.

 

I love it <3 and you dont have to be in a relationship to have a valentine! just grab a friend and buy each other cute shit that you can laugh about later while eating conversation hearts!

 

Even the one day in my life where I actually had someone to celebrate it with, I've always hated it haha.

It seems so, so, so so so pointless. It really does. >.>

and this! Some of my friends and I bought a shit load of those heart candies, bears and other crap so we can randomly hand stuff out. xD

 

I'm normally indifferent to Valentine's Day (and the one two years ago I was in a relationship, at least), but I reckon I'm gonna hate it when it starts this year, in about 6 minutes. Most of my friends are in relationships and I've not been in one for a long time. This is getting me angsty and even lonely - I'm not used to these at all!

So basically, I'll have to beg - someone ask me out on a date tomorrow?

 

I don't get why everyone gets so worked up in both sides of valentines day. So many people freak out about it being awful and just as many freak out about it being so important and amazing.

v-day for me is about celebrating the love in my life. I have a lot of love to give and I am loved as well. So I just think about that and tell the people I care about that I care. I don't think it's that huge of a thing.

And if you don't look at it that way or you don't feel like participating, that's totally okay, just go about your business as usual. No big deal.

I actually enjoy valentines day since I try not to think about any of that lovey dovey stuff and I get tons of FREE candy.

 

I only do Valentine's Day because my girlfriend likes to make a big deal out of it. I don't see why we need to set aside a day to really show our love for someone. I love my girlfriend every day of the year. But because my girlfriend loves the holiday I participate against my will lol.
