Yet another Valentine's day alone.

I've never had date on Valentine's Day. Any relationship I had usually ended before or started after. Though, I don't really care.

The way I cope with it: I think it's stupid. If someone loves me, or anyone for that matter, needing a special "holiday" to go all out and be romantic and what not seems flakey. Why need a special day to do something like that for someone you love? I personally aim for someone who makes me feel like that everyday.

Also the fact I don't consider it a real "holiday."

 

I will be lonesome in the relationship aspect. The way I cope is to just have hopes that I'll find someone special in the future.
I'm also very happy that I am a member of this forum. EC has helped me in so many ways.

It's always been a family day for me. Usually go out to eat with parents and siblings.

 

I think it's a stupid "Hallmark holiday" to begin with, but yeah, I don't have anyone.

Yes I'm alone.... And will literally be ALONE no family or anything my mother and father are going to I think they said Bahamas or something all I know is that they will not be here and I'm all alone........ and my brother is in LA with his girlfriend yet again. While I'm all alone :'(

 

I will be! I will be coping through netflix...

 

Been alone on every valentines day so far but it has never bothered me. Its just a stupid day for people to make money. I agree with Pillshere, no one should need a certain day to show someone how they feel. I just see it as another day and continue with my daily business.

I'm going to the movies with a couple of friends to laugh at PDA.

 

February 14 is just another day to me. It comes and goes each year, just like any other day on the calendar.

 

am kind of getting used to this single life although I have been on a few dates lately. last year I did make more of an effort. I cant spend the day alone as its also my birthday .

 

Studying for my stats midterm tonight.

Unless people are going to start getting up in the middle of answering multiple-choice and then making out, I think I'll be fine.

 

Just another day to me, I've never really understood why people spend 5 dollars on a card and another 20 on flowers. If you're gonna buy me something, get me something useful! :lol: I don't really think there should be a day dedicated to appreciating the person you love, it should be like that every day.

 

It'd be cool if EC did that matchmaking idea today. (I've been told by others I'm "forever alone" girl )

Anyway, I'm gonna cope by taking a nice relaxing bath, wearing a nice dress, applying to a job at the Vet Hospital (please pray/hope whatever you do that I get it... I'm broke and living with my parents lol), having a gal pal spend the night so we can play truth or dare. I'll probably come out to her too (she won't care but even if she did she's stuck with me lol). So I keep busy mostly. May even treat myself to some coconut ice cream and I'm gonna have an EC romance...

Also chocolate helps!

Normally I don't really remember it's valentines or care that it's valentines, but this year is different, because I've found someone I want to be with and I'm not with them, and doubt I will ever be with them.. It's very depressing, but I've coped by keeping busy all day. Sorry I sound like a right moody mope-about, I'm not normally, I just feel really low at the moment because of this.

This year has sucked, as I have been away from my wife now since Oct 21 of last year and this is the first time I have been alone in over 14 years. I am also getting sick. So I will spend most of the day in bed, before I go to work. ugh. :icon_sad:

 

I will be cleverly planning my scheme to get all the good chocolates that go on sale tomorrow might dress up as a worker with expiration stickers...
