I've never had a boyfriend, but even if I have had one, I don't think I could get myself to use pet names.

I also don't like being called honey or sweetie by others. It makes me feel like I've been degraded into a housewife or something.

I rarely ever call my bf honey but I normally just call him by his first name... pet names are just so common nowadays, it's just more convenient and original to call him by the name he was given when he was born or normally goes by with others.
