It would look quite crazy calling an invisible person honey.

I don't have a boyfriend to call him any of those names

we have a random joke where we call each other darling... (we are emma darling and fiona darling - it has to have our name infront)

i usually say babe... but not very often..

 

My housemate calls his girlfriend "My pretty little warthog."

I'm sure it does wonders for her confidence.

 

Well, I think it will depends on the personality

If he is sweet, I'd call him sweetie
If he is hot, I'd call him sexy

...If he is skanky, I'd call him...ass?:rolleyes:

lol, i don't see the big deal in calling ur partner pet names...maybe i would. i am not sure, i have never been in a relathionship.

 

I've never had a boyfriend, but even if I have had one, I don't think I could get myself to use pet names.

I also don't like being called honey or sweetie by others. It makes me feel like I've been degraded into a housewife or something.

 

Bizarrely enough, I called my ex by his name. I guess I was too afraid
to say "honey"...but we only went out for like 3 weeks anyways.

 

I use different names with different genders. I find myself calling girls honey or babe and boys I call sexy.

 

Nothing, really. We used to call each other terms of endearment such as "babe" as a joke though. I'm not really overly keen on them.

 

Markie and I usually call each other "dear".

I rarely ever call my bf honey but I normally just call him by his first name... pet names are just so common nowadays, it's just more convenient and original to call him by the name he was given when he was born or normally goes by with others.

 

My bf call's me sexy and babe and i do the same

 

typically the greatings go as follows,
'Hiya babe."
"Hey there sexy."
It doesn't matter who starts but it's useually in that order, it's what we said on our first date.
