State below what your favorite shape is or favorite shape of something is and why.

Mine is the umbrella. I'm not sure why I like it, but I know that rain is one of my favorite things. I love to watch rain, listen to rain, draw rain, read about rain, write about rain, touch rain, walk in the rain, sing in the rain. What does this mean? I have a theory about why I like umbrellas and rain but it would be really corny to tell people... :icon_redf

So, State what and why!

I've always been partial to crescents... not sure why though.

The pear shape. Because big butts and small waists. And small waists and big butts.

And so on, and so forth.

If these count, Lissajous curves, cardioids, toroids, lemniscates, Mobius surfaces and Klein bottles.

I do not like the vesica piscis, however, because it resembles a certain female body part. Lol.

I like the umbrella shape too! ☂

Crescent shapes are cool also. I like the moon and croissants, so.

The word 'moon' and 'harvest' are two of my favorite words. When I think of harvest, the image of wheat fields come into my mind. What about you when you think of different words?!

I like the ellipse, because it's beautiful mathematically, aesthetically, and it's also close to nature.

The curvy shape of a woman's silhouette... (obvious reasons) circles... (not sure why I've just always been drawn to that shape) and hearts (love and happiness). Peace signs are awesome too! Spread the peace and love ya'll!

Paraphrasing a placard beside a painting at an art museum I visited last year, Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky explained that the circle fascinated him for five reasons:
    1. It is the most modest form, but asserts itself unconditionally.
    2. It is a precise, but exhaustible variable.
    3. It is simultaneously stable and unstable.
    4. It is simultaneously soft and loud.
    5. It is a single tension that carries countless tensions within it.

I really have no idea what any of that means, but I figure the artistic people around here might appreciate it.

The star, but I like the pentagram as I see it as charges of energy and if any point is off, so is the whole. Also crescents.

I like 3D spirals, like mattress springs. I like how it can collapse and expand, changing the look of its shape.

I like stars. They look cool, they are cool because you can draw them without picking up your pen but yet they aren't simple looking.

A fun fact about the pentagram is that the lengths of the segments that form it follow the golden ratio.
