    ...In my lectures at university we were told about the theories of homosexuality and older siblings etc... but in my own experiences and the people I know, there seem to be more 'only' children amongst gay people than in the rest of the population.

    I'm not trying to make a judgement about the cause of this (if it's a real thing) or anything like that... it's just a correlation I've found that surprises me, I guess, what with the theories suggesting otherwise (although I've never been a fan of that theory tbh!).

    Soo... who here is an only child? lol *puts hand up*

    Not me! I actually have a twin sister. We're extremely close. I am very much interested in women, while she is most likely asexual. :slight_smile:

    And come to think of it, most of the gay or bisexual people I know have siblings as well. :0

    Not me...I have a younger brother who is as straight as it gets. He's NEVER without a girlfriend. I, on the other hand, am most definitely not straight...and am perpetually single. lol

    The only theory I know of regarding siblings says that younger siblings are more likely to be gay, and that's only for males.

    Two sisters, one in college and straight (occasionally she comments on possibly being asexual) and the other is seven so...yeah

    I however am mostly interested in women, with the slightly more than occasional interest in guys

    I believe that homosexuality is biological, but I've found that my family contradicts many of the popular theories.

    I am the third of four children, and my older siblings and I are all gay. My younger brother (the youngest) is as straight as an arrow.

    I have one older brother. He's straight as far as I know....kind of have some doubts around that though. I'm bi.

    I have 4 siblings who, as far as I know, are straight. I think all the gay people I know have siblings.
