MySpace was a big thing before a couple people were irresponsible for themselves and were kidnapped by meeting up with people who APPEAR to be as their profile says. Police and programs set up things where people were under the impression everyone on MySpace is the same way.

That is how I see it anyway. Facebook is no different. I don't like social networking sites like that.

Personally, I liked Myspace over Facebook profile wise. I thought it was a lot more fun with more to do. I think Facebook is more simple to use though, when I just want to scroll down as fast as possible to see what is up. I pretty much don't leave Tumblr anymore anyways, and if I do, it's to text my Tumblr friends, lol.

I never used Myspace, I don't use Facebook, and I won't use Myspace if it comes back. So I don't really care what happens

I don't like networks where you are expected to interact on a personal level with people you know in real life.

  11. no myspace was the biggest thing, but then facebook took over.

If ANYTHING takes over after Facebook, it might be Twitter.

I honestly think Myspace has served it's time, and maybe should merge with the leading social networking websites; such as Facebook, and Twitter.

Hey, you never know... Crazier things have happened. But it seems really doubtful.

  15. I don't think there's anything stupid about Facebook. The only personal data it can share is data you've entered in the first place. Whatever website you're on, you shouldn't post personal data online in your own name. If anything, use a false name or something.
Facebook is just a business upgrading and improving its services so more people will use them and therefore they will receive more advertising revenue etc. They are very clever people with a fantastically well designed website

Facebook is what killed Myspace. I don't see Myspace killing Facebook.

I went back to myspace recently to delete some of my old diary entries - did you know they made all your private blogs public without warning when they revamped the site?>_>

I completely agree. It's kind of funny how people want to complain about facebook, yet it's all their fault. "I don't want people knowing x,y, or z!" Then DO NOT POST IT!

Myspace was fun. The profile was the best part! However, times have changed. The days of having "a cool profile" are kind of over. We have other things to do.

Frankly, I'm over most social networking sites. If my friends weren't on facebook (or friends that I don't see too often), I'd be off. I recently started a page for the clinic I volunteer at - that's useful! Besides that, I am getting tired of it. Everything is becoming a LIKE. "Like this page for 1000 likes to this kid born without a body." "Like this for 1 like to a girl who can't find her car keys!" It's ANNOYING. The really hard part is that I feel like I can't keep track of what I've liked or friended - it keeps coming!

Twitter, however, is fun. It's a great way to spread the word about different causes or news articles or to get a truly funny joke or story. And....it's easy to unfollow people!
