Although I do like reading on my phone.

I still love paper books more. I'm always worried something will happen and the book file will disappear. :dead:

I miss books for sentimental reasons. However, I love being able to be in bed and read without having the light shine right in my face. There's definitely benefits to both.

I love both physicals and kindle books. Pros of kindle- I can have many with me without it weighing me down, I can make it read to me, it's convenient for travel. Pros of books- no worries about battery life, I can flick through it, I generally prefer holding something and turning pages and smelling books. Also, physical books can survive many many things.

I actually like the Kindle more. I still like to have hard copies of my favourite books, but there's really no difference between reading on the Kindle and reading an actual book, and it is in fact better. You can carry a whole library with you, it's light, you don't lose your page, it has some epic gizmos like an integrated dictionary (and it's really detailed, it includes archaic definitions and everything, really great for fantasy literature).

The reason it works out so well is that, A) the battery lasts forever, literally a month or so. Obviously if the battery was short-lived, that would detract from the convienience greatly. B) The screen is no different from ink on paper. It does not emit light, and may in fact be easier to read for some (scalable text size, the fonts are clearer).

Any negative perceived is really just subjective. There is no reason to prefer paper other than nostalgia and the fact that you're used to it. There is no functional superiority when it comes to paper.

My schools library has started to put books online, so I really don't have a reason to buy them. I just realized this...

If a paperback book is near the kindle price I tend to buy it on paperback, though. Something about flipping through pages and not on my tablet or computer...

Oh and yes, shirtless would have made the commercial better

yeah, the sound of flipping a page is kind of satisfying that you read a page and is reading more LOL

and omg, it's just that if there;s a natural disaster or power shortage, i would have nothing to read :frowning2:

I do have a kindle and I like it but nothing beats paper books. Also, on the kindle you can't skip back and forth to a particular section or chapter which is a little bit annoying. I got mine in 2011 so maybe the newer ones can skip back and forth.

    I'm a paper book fan.

I despise reading e-books so if it's available to buy as an actual book, I'd rather do that.

I like bookshelves completely filled and cluttered with books from every walk of life. <3 it.

I adore paper books. I find electronic books to be tremendously difficult to read....

I love a real hardback book (I can't stand paperback for some reason) but I also like the kindle because I read to much and I can just buy books without all the effort of going to a bookstore plus people don't get to see what I'm reading haha
