A Poem

Since everyone's posting their poetry, I thought I'd add this one. It's definitely pertinent to the community - a theme we will all know at one point or another..... Our straight soul mate friends who we can never have completely, no matter how much we or they long for it.

My House

My house has seven mirrors
hanging on the wall
every shape and size you need
my house has these and more

but instead of reflecting
the sunset or the trees
the face I've come to know and love
is the only thing I see

you're in my dreams
you're in my thoughts
you're in my fantasies

but still I know
deep in my heart
that it can never be.

we love each other
with a passion
that has never been before

but something comes between us
keeping things the way they are

I know that you can't ever love me
the way I want your love
and I know that you want this
just as much as I

but we're destined, doomed to be
just the closest friends.

My house has seven photographs
hanging on the walls
and although they are perfection
I can't help wishing for more.
