Ladies and gentlemen, I received an old laptop today. Apparently it's still functional, and maybe it's still fully functional. My cousin changed to another laptop so she gave me her old one. Only thing is I have to redeploy my operating system. Alas, the stupid DVD-ROM drive there is kaput. I have to rip out the HDD, put it into the enclosure, format using my desktop PC, put some things in, put it back, and do the OS install from the HDD instead. Wish me luck - if I got the whole OS working, this thing is fully me and my brother!  |

Whew, i got the operating system finally installed. that laptop is mine now. or whatever it is. The notebook is still okay except for a busted DVD-ROM. Only thing to do is to add some more RAM.  |
