How Often Are You Single?

All the time *begins to weep*

I still haven't had a proper relationship. The only thing I've had was a three week fling with a guy over the summer when I was studying at Columbia in NYC. I was still in denial about my sexuality then so it didn't last beyond that summer camp. However, that interaction with him made me finally come to terms with myself.

 

Well let's see... I dated a guy for a few months in high school (let's say four). I was seeing a different guy on and off for a while, but our period of actually seeing each other with any regularity lasted maybe a month. So I've been in a relationship fr five months out of 22 years and 5 months, so 22 years of my life have been spent single, or 264 months out of 269 months, which means I've been single for 98% of my life.

I'm surprised that percentage is that low.

Constantly... Being queer under 40 in Helena, Montana... Yay.

 

Everyone I know is getting married too. I support the flag idea.

edit: Oh, and I used to attract abusive relationships also so now I don't let anyone get a hold of my single soul.

I've always been single. Except for the girlfriend I had in high school when I was about 13, which lasted two whole weeks.

 

Ive been single most of my life. Ive had one relationship, but it didnt last long. Sometimes I feel really lonely and wish I had a boyfriend, but im too busy for that now, I know I wouldnt be a very good boyfriend back.

 

Eternally...lol.
Actually, my consistent singleness and no talk of dating was what tipped my parents off that something was going on...
I'm not in a place to be dating anyone right...but once I fix me, I would love to be in a relationship. That's down the road a bit...

I've hardly ever been single.

That was before the no compromise thing though, I'm happily alone for the moment.

 

been single for 26 years, 5 months, 5 days, 24 hours, 10 minutes, and 25 seconds. right now i'm getting angry thinking about it enough to blow up on somebody.

 

For 3 years. But I do not count dating a girl as an actual relationship due to the complete utter lack of sexual attraction. So in reality, 22 years and 7 months single.

 

A lot these days, though I do feel like falling back into relationships.

My whole life. More than 40 years now.

 

I've actually dated quite a bit. My first relationship was when I was 13. I was in a relationship with a guy and it lasted for 9 months. I know 13 seems too young, but we saw each other all the time. I broke up with him because he was too immature for me. It did hurt a lot but I always wondered why it only took me a few weeks to get over it. XD

Once I got into high school, my whole life changed. I realized I liked girls and I dated 4 girls in high school. The first one I fell in love with, and I was in love with her for 2 years. The 2nd one was controlling and unpredictable. The 3rd one was my best friend at the time. I realized I didn't love her the way she loved me, so I broke things off. I still feel bad about that. The 4th one was my first serious relationship. It lasted on-and-off for about 3 years. She actually left me because she started going back to church. I guess I'm still recovering from that. :/

But anyway, I've been single for 2 years now. I've had people (even friends) ask me out on a date, but I'm just not interested. I'm a bit picky, especially personality wise. :x
Several months ago, I actually tried dating the girl I broke things off with to see if maybe I could develop feelings for her. But there was still nothing there. So I had to break things off again. ._.

 

I'm always a free agent. :lol:
