I'm a soft butch clothes and all (minus the tie, ties are hard, still figuring them out) but i can't bear to cut my long hair, its just past my shoulders. I was wondering if there are any other soft butch/butches out there with long hair or is it just me?
I don't think it really matters what the length of someone's hair is. For me I can always just tell who's butch and who's not. Well maybe not always, but I'm usually pretty good at being able to tell. Sometimes I do find myself generalizing that all butches have to have short hair, but I think it's whatever you're comfortable with!
I was totally confused for about 10 minutes, because I thought the word being said here was "bitch", not "butch". I'm such a failure. Now it all makes sense now.
Indeed. I have long hair and don't look "butch" but by most standards I probably am. If you like your hair then don't cut it. *flips mine in a super masculine way & exits*
i don't think i'm butch, maybe chapstick lesbian? haha. but i do have very short hair and i LOVE to wear neckties! i used to have very long hair and when i'd feel a need to look a little, hmmm i guess manlike, i'd wear it up so i could pretend it was short. but there are plenty of manly men with long hair so you can certainly be butch with long hair. if you don't want to cut it then keep it long the only reason i cut my hair was because i was so sick of it being everywhere.
I'm not really butch but rather non-conforming, but if you had to honestly label my appearance, then I'd say chapstick. I prefer keeping my hair long because I just like it, you can do more with it, and I look terrible with short hair. Plus I've been waiting for over two years for it to get back to the length that it currently is, man. But I'm still fairly on the "masculine" side, regardless. I don't really think haircuts should play much of a roll. /mimics
