    I'm Canadian eh?
So supposedly I heard that smoking is another lesbian stereotype. Not that I believe in stereotypes, just wondered if there are a lot of smokers on here.

Ew! (No offense to people that smoke I just really can't stand it) Parts of my family are really heavy smokers and can't stand it... It irritates my throat really badly and make my eyes water. Plus I'm a vocalist so I have to protect my voice.

Nope! I've never liked the smell of it. Plus, the idea of smoke in my lungs is… strangulating.

I've never heard of it as a lesbian stereotype before, though.

I've heard of it being a gay stereotype, but never a lesbian one before. I do myself smoke though, yes.

I've smoked a few times with my friends as a social thing. I have a pack of cigarettes in my bag that I've had for like 5 months, but I forget that they're even in there.

Smoking's not my thing. I'll have an occasional drag with a coworker or a friend but other than that, nah.

Every once in a while, and only when I'm drunk. Alcohol and cigarettes are a good combination, but I don't like the taste of them when I'm sober.

    I've never smoked.

When I first came out I was told that all lesbians smoke. I didn't believe it, of course. That was over 30 years ago. Is it still a stereotype?

I don´t smoke, don´t drink alcohol or coffee, not even a coke. People think I am doing this on purpose, but I just don´t like the taste of the said products. I am just weird like that.

I used to smoke but I'm sad to say only reason I started was because all my lesbian/gay friends smoked and it was the only way I'd be allowed in the smoking area.

Nope. It would quite literally kill me. Asthmatic lungs and smoking do NOT mix! My parents smoked until I was in MS, and I'm thankful every day that they quit.

Legally, I'm not even old enough to smoke, so the answer would be no, by a law abiding person (Although I know many people my age who do smoke, and I do not in any way condone it.) Honestly, I hate the smell of smoke, whenever people around me smoke I want to find the nearest open space so that I can breathe air into my lungs and not smokey air. I wouldn't even smoke when I am at the legal age to do so just because to me it's disgusting. I don't want to damage my lungs, I don't want to be at risk for cancer, I'm not going to put myself in that position. If anyone else does it, that's up to them, but as far as I'm concerned, there is not point in smoking because it's dangers are worse than it's benefits (By benefits I mean, as a means of relieving stress, but as I see it, I would imagine it brings a greater stress when you realize how much you smoke and how much money is spent just on cigarettes alone)

Nope, but the smell isn't that bad. I don't mind smokers and most of the time I find they are pretty considerate if it bothers me.
