Thrift stores. Only major exceptions are underwear, socks, and swim suits all of which I buy new.

In my area, unusual sizes often do seem to linger longer, possibly because fewer people fit that size.

Buffalo Exchange! I love it. x3 I don't know if it's anywhere other than Texas, but it is AMAZING. It's a vintage thrift store, but it actually has very nice, and at one point expensive clothing. I also order a lot of clothes from Asia... Some things you just can't find here. TT^TT

    Honestly, I don't shop much.

The only real option where I live is K Mart, unless one is willing to schlep for 45 minutes and then pay the NY state sales tax - which I rarely am...

I actually still have clothes from when I was in high school that fit. When I do need or want something, I resort to online shopping. And, it bears mention since you brought it up, I am on the sturdier side of the size chart (since the phrase "plus-sized" is sort of depressing to me.)

I shop at the Gap, Inc. family of stores mainly because I like their clothing and I work for them so my discount makes things significantly cheaper.

thrift stores, flea markets, and clearance racks mostly. i see a lot of large men's clothing at flea markets, yet most of the women's clothing is smaller.

If I shop, JCPenny, thrift shops for neat shirts, and Wal-mart. I feel like Mr. Krabs from spongebob.

I'm not the only thrift shopper.... Gah....

    LET'S ALL GET MARRIED!!

Seriously though. Thrift stores are the best. I'm not a huge fan of Salvation Army, but other thrift stores? Eff yeah. And yard sales! (Only 'cuz I'm from South Austin, and everyone here dresses like, awesome.)

I got some nice shirts and a sweater for 60-80% off at Kohls today (around $10). A lot of the cloths on the clearance racks are plus sizes.

I have more trouble shopping for pants that I like; consequently, I am more willing to spend money on those.

Shoe's are ordered online (many times I will try them on in a store and purchase them online for cheaper).

It really depends on what a store has at the time. I spend more money if there is a nice shirt or pants that I really like, though that is a rare occasion since I think there are better things to spend money on. But, for me, thrift stores are generally a no. I tend to really like what I find, but most things I have ever bought from a thrift store tend to be too big or fit awkwardly.

I make my dad buy me things because going into stores that stock women's clothing makes me depressed
