    I was wondering if anyone knows of any songs that I could play to my friends to "tell" them that I am gay. I'm not talking about stuff like the song/video "What What in the Butt." I mean like serious songs. This is (kinda) an example. I told my crush that I liked him by sending him the lyrics to a Price song called "I Feel for You" which really got my point across. But I'm talking about legit, serious songs to come out to.

    I'm gay, but not "fabulous" so that may seem a little too....how do I say this....."gay" (for lack of a better word).

    This is gonna be hard search, cuz there can only be 1 song for me out there.

    And if anyone is curious as to what the lyrics to the Prince song is, I'll paste them below.
    (Prince says "baby" a lot in the song, so I took them out when I sent it to my "crush". I would never say "baby". This way, it is more like a poem)

    How about Dear Prudence? Ever since Across The Universe used the song to get Prudence out of the closet, it's been my song when I came out to my friends.

    I really like this one!!!
    But I think I'm gonna have to go with Billy Brown. I don't know.....I mean, they lyrics to Darkness are perfect, but only when presented as poem-like. Billy Brown works better if I am going to play him the song.

    I do like the song Dear Prudence, but I don't think it would fit for me. [EDIT: oh man...I just got it. she's literally coming out of the closet. I'm kinda slow]

    Damn...you know what? I was gonna send him a link to the song on youtube, but he has dial-up, it would take forever to load, so i just sent him a poem i wrote instead. I guess I'll have to use the song for someone else. :frowning2:

    Personally, I can't think of a better song, although I really like Billy Brown. I'm actually going to use this song to introduce me next time I do a speech at Kairos (a semi-religious but more spiritual retreat)
