so the school play this year Pippin i had auditioned for it a couple of months ago but i got dejected after i got a callback. so anyways, i had completely forgotten about auditions since i still had sound to fall back on to still be on the play. so today the drama teacher calls me to the auditorium and told me he had to talk to me, and so he asks me teacher- "Mateo, we have a question, can you handle snakes?" Me- "yeah i do that at work all the time" teacher- "oh cause we called kazimir's (pet shop i work at) and asked if we could borrow one of their snakes" Me- "you do know i work there don't you?" teacher- "oh well then that makes it much easier, how would you like the role as one of the freak show people in the musical and youll get to handle the snake and scare people?" Me- "sweet, sure why not!!!" so basically, i got a really fun role on the play and i dont get to make a fool of myself doing those froopy dances that i was supposed to do, so i still get to do sound and be on the play!!! you gotta love karma!! (!):eusa_danc
and the funniest thing was that i just came from the petshop and my boss/owner of the store just told me that he told them the only way that they would get the snake was to let me be in the play, i was like omg bob you rock!!! im soo stoked, this is so sureal...like this year keeps on getting better and better, first graduation, then australia and new zealand for the summer, and now an impromptu role on the school musical gooo me!!
God that sounds fun. Good for you . My school is doing Pippin too and I am also a "player" (but only in the theatre sense of the word ). We aren't dealing with animals though. But definitely, karma is sweet
