Well, I am still wearing my Gay Pride Rainbow Bracelet to work, but no comments yet  I went to my Moms today wearing my Bracelet & a pink shirt, My Mom said "why are you wearing a pink Shirt for, only Gay Men wear pink shirts" I just smiled, I know I had a chance to come out to her but, I didn't :icon_sad: I then went with her & my Stepdad to a family meal with the rest of the family, younger & older generations, I am sure some of the younger family members noticed my Bracelet, but nothing was said, just glances & the odd whisper to each other, anyway, I have dropped the hints, lets see what happens

Daaannnggg. Some can't take a hint. If I saw you I'd probably be all up in your business.
But seriously, props to you for going out like that. :eusa_danc
    You're taking big strides.
And it's funny how the younger ones seemed to pick up on it.

Wow, I definitely thought someone was going to notice and talk to you about it. Well, I wonder if anybody will say anything...

    Good Luck with everything!

    Hi,

I suspect all picked up on it. The younger ones are just learning to be discreet and got noticed noticing.

I don't think so. I made my bracelet last week and I've been wearing it since. A friend noticed it, but he had no idea what it meant (he just found it weird that I'm wearing a bracelet). When I explained, he said "that's so gay" So, no, not all people notice, recognize and understand.

Btw, it's funny; I feel really self-conscious about it, but not anything near what I felt the first day. Yesterday I took a shower in the gym with it. I thought that could be pushing it a little (a guy walking through the locker room wearing nothing but a rainbow bracelet - c'mon!). But, the result is: nobody cares. Which is kinda liberating.

So, DublinBoy, as long as it makes you feel good about yourself, that bracelet is already doing lots.

It does feel great wearing it, it's a strange feeling, it feels like coming out without having to say anything, I can't wait for the weather to get better, as at the moment I am having to wear a coat to work (it's snowing in the UK at the moment lol) which means my Bracelet is covered up then I am outside & if I go into the shopping mall, which is where all the hot Guys are

I am tempted to start wearing one (I ordered one from eBay on an impulse). While I am out of the closet and everything, I don't really talk about it at work and I don't think everyone knows, so it would be interesting to see how much attention people take

So far so good, the only attention I'm getting is from straight people who think it looks nice .

It's the second day of spring, but it's not snowing in East Anglia - but up north it is a lot, apparently.
I think you're very brave DublinBoy, and I wish you all the best with everything.

Weirdly, when I fail to be able to do something, one of my brothers always says 'That's because you're gay'. I'm pretty sure he just says it jokingly, and it's very tempting to reply with 'Would it be a problem if I was?' But I know he's disgusted by homosexuality.

Well I stopped on the stairwell to speak to the Guy at work who is openly Gay & he glanced at my Bracelet  I could tell from the way he looked at it, that he knew I was Gay, I remember him tell someone about how he come home from a Gay Pride March draped in a Rainbow Flag, so I think he now knows :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:ride:

Or just good ol' fashioned soap opera....

At least, that's the way things often seem to go in families.
