There are a handful of movies I watch every now and again that make me cry... but not every night It's probably a good thing for you, in that it's helping you get in touch with your feelings. According to psychologists, when we cry at movies (whether out of grief or out of joy), it is because we are resonating with some loss or yearning we don't have... in your case, probably the lack of unconditional love and support you need and deserve, but don't get, from your parents. You might, though, consider watching some movies that are less tragic. I can suggest "Latter Days", which is powerful but meaningful, or maybe an old feel good movie like "Miracle on 34th Street" or "It's a Wonderful Life" (both Christmas-themed, but good any time; find the versions from the 1930s and 40s, not the crappy remakes.)
Not with Titanic, but there are some films I quite enjoy watching on a frequent basis even if they make me sob.
The movie Beaches makes me cry hard but I don't watch it but once every couple of years. I love the movie Titanic too. I say just enjoy it! June
I always cry at the end of Titanic (even though I'll never admit it out loud... IT'S SO SAD!!!!!!! \(TAT)/
