So...I wasn't raised by the most feminine person in the world - she didn't teach me anything like this, so I'm a little confused by lingerie/sexy underwear. Is there a certain point where I should start wearing it? What is the point of wearing it? I've heard people say that sexy outfits/lingerie is something you wear when you're in a relationship/being sexually intimate with someone, and I have no idea if that's true or not. Whenever I wear sexy drawers I do it to feel sexy since I'm single. Therefore, you don't HAVE to be in a relationship to wear it... it can make you feel more confident wearing it! You can wear it whenever you feel like it and can buy your own clothes LoL Although, it can be used for sexual arousal as well.

Here's my take on it, and it's from a book called "Living Without a Goal" by James Ogilvy. The main point of the book is that we are far too fixated on the Goal rather than the journey. Lingerie reveals as it conceals, it detracts a bit from the goal of sex so that the enjoyment of the way there is enhanced. Ogilvy calls this "sublimation" (as in "from the ridiculous to the sublime"). So getting "there" to the goal of sex by means of lingerie, or taking the long way home, as it were, and enhancing the experience by enhancing mindfulness and beauty is the purpose of lingerie.
