Ok, I should know the answer to this but I have never been able to figure it out. I took a Bio class final today. My mark is currently 84.8%. I got a 73 on my final and it's worth 10% of my mark. What is my bio mark now?
Assuming that 84.8% is the other 90% of your mark, it would be (84.8 * .9) + (73 * .1), which is about 83.6%.
...hepta-, octa-, nona-, deca-. That's for naming binary molecular compounds. Then you use the Roman numeral system with binary ionic compounds. Then you need to remember the difference between nitate and nitrite, mercurious and mercuric, etc. Chemistry nomenclature is hard to keep track of!
