My friend came out to me during track today. Not wanting to take away from his moment, I didn't tell him. But I will tomorrow. The long journey begins! ---------- Post added 23rd Apr 2013 at 07:46 PM ---------- The title got messed up. It was supposed to be a capital d. THE AUTOLOWERCASE STRIKES AGAIN
I would feel so freaking special if somebody came out to me. Glad it happened to you though, and certainly makes your job easier XD.
i agree... im hoping some one comes out to me too and btw whats the answer to your riddle? in your signature? ive been reading it over an over again and still come with nothing.. if the kid is 6 then that makes the mom 27? and the father is ...
Congratulations, Caudex! ---------- Post added 23rd Apr 2013 at 08:41 PM ---------- OK, you two: I'm gay. (Or did you mean someone in your private lives?)
That's awesome, you must be pretty good person for someone to come out to you. Best of luck for tomorrow!
You have to solve with with algebra. Which was a huge pain for me, since A)I'm not a math whiz, and B) it's been years since I took Algebra 3/Trig. I did somehow manage, and discovered the child's age is -9 months (that is, nine months before being born). You figure out what that means....
i couldnt think so had my PA sort it out for me lol... man thats alot of numbers... so she emailed me the following: since there is a 21 year difference... For mom to be twice as old: 21*2 = 42 child is 21 and mom is 42 For mom to be three times as old: 21*1.5=31.5 child is 10.5, mom is 31.5 Four time as old: 21*1.333333* = 28 child is 7, mom is 28 Five times as old: 21*1.25 = 26.25 child is 5.25, mother is 26.25 But we have to subtract 6 years now CHILD IS -.75 years old and MOM is 20.25 years old. -.75 years is 9 months so that means the father is at the hospital right now next to the mom coz she's having the baby .... i feel smart copying her email into my post
I don't know you you got these numbers... I did it like this: child's current age = x mother's current age = y A mother is 21 years older than her child. x+21=y In 6 years, she will be 5 times as old as her child. y+6=5(x+6) (You add 6 years to both the mother and child's age, and then multiply by five as described.) Then, its just simply math: y=5(x+6)-6 y=x+21 0=5(x+6)-6-x-21 27=4x+30 -3=4x x=-0.75
