Doubts So here is a little poem for you lovely and admirable people of EC. The first lyric was my first thought when I woke up this morning...So I kept in my head and went straight for the computer. The rest of the poem seem to flow---till the end. I think I need to work on it still but it'll probobly be more interesting if I post it now when it first appeared in my head. I saw you at a booth You neck in a noose Your hand hugging a beer Your face sick and queer And I ask you to reach out to me My friend -- to be I ask what is you’ve done To put out the burning sun. I saw you in the rain, Your heart in pain, Your hand hugging a note They think, “You won’t.” And I ask you to look to me, And tell me, how can this be? Standing on a bridge looking tall. To everyone else, you are so small. I saw you at night Your face gave me a fright Your hands hugging a hat Being eaten by a street rat. And I ask you to say, How did you get to be this way, Crack in your pocket And x-wife in your locket. I saw you in your home, Writing this poem Your hands hugging a drink Your brain, to think. And I ask you to today Will you escape the fray? Doubts and worries pass my mind But those are thoughts I can put behind
