Okay we've had the straight pill threads several times. BORING :roflmao:. Obviously many people who are in the gay community would feel a loss if they left that community. Being gay is just a big part of who they are and the benefits to being straight just aren't enough to justify changing this fundamental part of themselves.

So I'm going to be the devil and sweeten the pot a bit.

To the gays on the site, if you could take a pill that would make you bisexual--let's say completely 50-50, would you do it? For the record your attraction to the same sex would not be reduced at all in this case. You just gain an equally strong attraction to the opposite sex. You lose nothing from the exchange. You can keep your current boyfriends/girlfriends but get even more eye candy. Your sex drive is not increased either--it remains the same. You don't get hungrier, your tastes just broaden, got it?

For that matter, if you're straight, would you do it? There are some straight posters here. Might as well gauge their opinion. Some of them are trans and therefore part of the acronym already. I'll separate those from the control group as I'm slightly curious about the cis straight folks who face no obstacles.

And asexuals, what about you? Would you take it or not?

I'd be worried about what the pill could do as far as side effects.

But I voted that I'd take it. As I said earlier in the straight pill post:

Also being bisexual makes it a lot easier finding a date!

What's with all the trans options only being for straight people?

I just want a pill where I'm 100% certain of what my sexuality is, provided it is a manageable one (nothing twisted, in other words :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:). Keep to the aforementioned caveat then I don't really care what it is.

Many of the straight posters on the site are trans, and therefore already subject to being a sexual minority. I wanted to control for that by making a category just for the cis straight posters (what few there are), to guage the opinion of non LGBT-folks.

For the other categories, gay, bi, and asexual, if you're trans it doesn't affect the question much.

Nah thanks. The women are the amazing ones. Staying 75/25 is fine with me.

  13. No. Bisexuals get a lot of hate from both straight people and their fellow members of the LGBT community, so I'd prefer not having to deal with that. I'll stick with being gay. Plus, women are lovely, and I just can't picture myself with a guy at all.

I don't want to feel sexual desire for anyone. So, no, I wouldn't take the pill. I'm glad to be asexual.

I'd rather be Bi. Thay way if I found a woman with a personality that I was really compatible with, the fact that she was a woman wouldn't be an issue.

    I love this line.

Anyway, no. I have no desire to be bisexual or with women.

Not to mention, straight men seem to be obsessed with them and I have plenty of female-deprived straight male friends, so I think they need as many as they can get other there. ^-^

Why the heck not. I'm already bi, what's the harm with being even more bi

Eh, I might literally do this anyway. I mean drift doesn't happen to most people on hormones but it does occasionally.

Sure would make a lot of the songs on the radio easier to listen to.
