I think mine about 5. I imagine on a forum like this there will be a massive spike at the start and after things sort themselves out in life people will just drop off. I'm sure there's a regular cycle of new people.

For other forums (hobby related) I'm sure people are far more consistent, for a longer period.

5.88, but I only joined last month. On a similar note, I've noticed that while there are many members, only a few dozen are common posters.

Usually they arrive, post like mad for a week or 10 days or so, then disappear never to be seen again.

 

It's somewhat the case that people come here while they need support, then grow out of needing support.

The site has always been very come-and-go in terms of the community, but with the massive amount of traffic we get, there's enough people (even if the % is really small) that want to stay because they enjoy the site or want to give back.

I've been a member of another forum for 2013 (!!!) days and have racked up an average of 6.3 per day. THAT is crazy, and I have a bigger post count there than anyone on this website. I wonder what else I could have achieved with that time...
