I like to play it a bit, sometimes with my little sister and other times on the computer. I am not a serious player though, it's only for fun.
Yeah. Not very often though. No one in my family plays and I haven't been able to make it to the chess club meetings this year so I'm not as good as last year..
I used to be a "kamikaze" player, always finding out of the box moves against my opponent. I just haven't played in a long time and I'm very rusty, pretty much a day one noob compared to my friends who are amazing.
I play on occasion, no one my friends/family members are much of a challenge for me though. My best friends dad and i had some good games though.
I love chess! I'd say I'm moderately good at it. Played a lot in the downtime of my Latin class, but it got to the point where only the best player in there and I would play, so I'd always lose. It was still fun though, because he did have some brilliant tactics. Anyone who's up for a game over the internet some time can message me if they'd like, unless it interferes with site rules. I've already been banned once for that hehe. o.0
Unfortunately I have not played chess in years!! I really want to change this though, I just can't find anyone who wants to play!!!!
I dabbled a bit years and years back...probably about the time I was in junior high. That would be shortly after they invented chess... I remember having an electronic chess game. My goals were to get good enough to rise above Level 0 (the least challenging level), and beat the electronic game. It never happened. Well, I did beat the game once by using the "switch sides" feature. I was a terrible chess player.
I learned when I was very young, about 5. Played pretty often years after, got decent, played in tournaments, did decently, then took lots of time off here and there. Months ago, after months away I played against someone pretty decent, almost lost, but recovered and won Now that I'm on summer vacation, I wanna get back into it and hopefully get good and confident enough to do tournaments again. Heck, maybe I'll even see if I can get a job as a chess tutor.
Ah, I've had a Google and apparently it's called 'checkers' in America, which I've heard of but didn't know what it was or that it was the same thing as Draughts!
