I am personally for the green party, anyone else share that? I was just wondering about the distribution of people in certain political parties on EC. I wonder.... Please vote and post about it.(&&&)

Ideally I'd be voting with the Socialist Party, but I'm happy to vote for the Green Party and will reluctantly vote Democratic when necessary. I live in a super-red state so it mostly only matters in local elections.

Well I'm an idiot. I thought the pirate thing was a joke. :bang: I know I voted for it, but I'm not part of the pirate party. Or any party. I will probably never vote, as I can't be bothered to inform myself about politic and such, and more than likely never will.

I voted based on what I'd choose if I was American - either Democrat or Green party.

Personally, though, the Democrats are too right for my liking. By Canadian standards they'd be halfway between the Liberals (who we consider 'centrist' rather than left) and the Conservatives. I'm an NDP supporter myself.

Seriously, you guys are only just starting to get public healthcare, and you're doing a half-assed version of what we have in Canada. I don't get why you Americans put up with this. It's totally unfair to expect people to pay for something as unpredictable as a serious medical condition. I mean, if I were to get cancer, I don't want my family ending up homeless trying to save my life.

I'm liberal. Their ideas go hand in hand with mine 95% of the time.

I am a No Party Preference voter. In my area, we don't call ourselves independent to avoid confusion with the right wing American Independent Party (now called America's Party). I have voted for both Democrats and Republicans but I usually vote Democrat

Registered Republican so I could vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. Couldn't vote for Romney or most Republican's so I typically vote Libertarian. So I put down libertarian above.

Democrats don't do much for me either.

I think America's political system just seeks to pit one person against the other. It's modern day tribalism.

Even so, most of my views are liberal, so...

  16. I'm a democrat. The only republican issue I support is that I'm pro-gun.

I'm officially registered as "Unaffiliated." That being said, I tend to vote Democratic the majority of the time. When I do vote Republican, it's for candidates that are considered "moderate."

+1. I generally vote Republican even though I'm registered as no party.
