Update on my niece

    Well as I mentioned in a hijack of another thread (yes even us moderators do it sometimes), my 16 year old niece ran away from home. She was found down in the middle of Mexico and has been convinced to come home, thank God! I have been soooo freakin' worried about her! So her mother is going to get her on Thursday. She's going to have to deal with alot of stuff when she gets back. I told her about EC so she may be here sharing some of it with you guys! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you all the good news!

    Wow that's great news Becky. I'm so glad she's found. I was worried about her. I bet you're so relieved. It would be great if she came on EC! :slight_smile: Thanks for letting us know.

    She drove to Northern California. Parked her car and then got on a bus.

    Her girlfriend's brother was physically abusing her is one reason. The other reason is her girlfriend's younger sister was involved with a much older man who was illegal and got caught. He got sent back to Mexico. She thought she couldn't live without him. She's 16 and he's something like 26 or 28. Really not a good situation but her parents agreed to let her stay there in Mexico with him. My niece and her girlfriend are coming back. Hopefully my niece's girlfriend can find a safe place to live away from her abusive brother. Also, my niece was pretty scared to tell her Dad she had a girlfriend. She had told her Mom before she ran away.
