  2. That is amazing. I could feel the anger emanating from that. We need more people like that.

I am so touched. That takes a lot of courage to write that in a (I assume) published column and the person who wrote that is a very special person. We need more people like him in the world.

    Thanks for sharing that

    Amen to that!

I can only hope my friends will be that supportive.

    I can only say... wow.

I have yet to meet a straight man like that. I mean... even my best friend is okay with me being gay as long as I don't kiss guys in front of him, don't tell him about my sex life and don't hit on him, which kind of hurts.

I know that years of being surrounded by homophobic people, especially men, have made me somewhat heterophobic, especially towards straight guys (women tend to be more accepting - sometimes they actually look for us because having a gay friend is cool nowadays, although for women only). This gives me something to think about.

I actually felt his tone while I read it. It sincerely touched me.
The world needs more people like him - his friend is truly lucky to have found a friend in him

I do that around my friends even if they dont want it.

Nice article, I learnt quite a bit from it too. Its so old though! I wonder why I've never read it before.

Yep, it's almost 11 years old, which makes it even more impressive. Homosexuality has become more accepted as years progress. For him to write it then is even more brave.

I had just sent him an e-mail personally thanking him for this article. I just hope he receives it.

Amazing article. His words are full of feeling and passion. We could use more folk in the world like him.

What astounds me is that this article was written 12 years ago. I wish there was someone like that in my life 12 years ago. Who knows how it may have influenced my life.

I'm amazed that someone had the courage, especially as a straight guy, to write this. It shows that he truly loves and care for his gay male friend and is not ashamed to show it. God, could you please create more people like this?:icon_bigg
