Well, As I said earlier in another thread, I wrote in to my local paper against THIS article, Because I was absolutely furious.

And to my delight, it was published in the paper.

This is what I sent in, and it was published as is

** Name changed to Vampyrecat for obvious privacy reasons.

YAYAY. AAAAAND, the guy who published it got into contact with me and he wants me to get the local gay group which I'm a member of, to give an interveiw next week.

    So excited! (!)

Ha, I bet he is going to rue the day he rubbed you up the wrong way!

Good for you, more people need to stand up and defend themselves. This is a very difficult thing to do, there are all the social taboos, and family to take into consideration but things ARE changing and stupid stuffed shirt politicians are going to HAVE to change as well if they want to keep their positions and power.

I shouldn't worry too much most politicians are just power hungry primates who change which ever way the wind is blowing. If he senses support for the gay community he will soon change his tune. And to think our lives are governed by people like him!

Well, he (the reporter who wants our story) really wants us to give mr koch a serve, but I've kinda already done that...and the group doesn't want to lose its good reputation, so I think it'll be more about how we feel it's damaging our already semi- homophobic area. Warnambool is like fully catholic and 7th day adventists, so we already cop a lot of flack for just having the group.
But really, we're just going to try and put forward that we aren't bad people and that if the MP's opinions are stemming from his religious background, then he needs to stop allowing his religion to cloud his vision.

So yeah should go well hopefully
