I've got them... They're really acting up right now. I'm a coughing, sneezing, complaining, teary, red-faced, snotty mess right now. It's not pretty. xD

Do you have allergies? How do you deal with them? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Awh, I'm sorry! I know the feeling, I have awful allergies. They haven't begin for me yet though, they usually begin sometime in June, I HATE them.

I usually just take medicine for it, you don't have any?

I've had allergies for pretty much my whole life - I was sneezing in my baby video on the night I was born...haha.

I am very lucky in that I have a shit ton of allergies, yet I can survive in the world. Lately, though, I can be fine in my house and walk outside and start to become asthmatic and I just start sneezing!

I take a few different meds. One is more for asthma (Singulair, which is prescription) and then Zyrtec.
Honestly, it works fairly well for me and my allergies. My asthma, however, has become a bit of a bigger problem...it's just a battle. You learn what to do. I really have no fixes that cure everything... but seeing a specialist is important. My allergist is amazing.

I live in Texas, so we get a lot of cedar and oak and grasses. When I get bad allergies, I take showers twice a day so that I clear myself of allergens. (Not a doctor, consult with your primary care provider) When I need a medicine, I take Allegra-D (with pseudoephedrine). The only problem is that pseudoephedrine is a precursor in meth production, so it is kept behind the pharmacist's counter and you need to show ID and are limited in quantity (although you don't need a prescription). It really helps decongest me. I tried Claritin-D and Zyrtec-D, but Allegra was the best one for me. I experimented with the three before I settled on one. The good thing is that I only get bad allergy symptoms about once a month or so; therefore, I don't have it that bad.

I had issues with allergies growing up, but don't have huge problems now.

As a small kid, though, I got dragged to a doctor for allergy shots every other week. The fun part of that were possible side affects. I remember I'd get the shot, we'd go to the coffee shop for a snack, and then go back for the nurse to make sure I was still alive. After the shots ended, my father read an article that indicated that whatever they were jabbing me with had hugely serious side affects. That check to make sure I was still alive wasn't because the nurse didn't have better things to do...

I take an allergy pill, and as someone said, two showers a day. It clears out my sinuses, but it isn't a long-term thing. It usually goes back to being annoying in about two hours. I try not to take medicine and let nature run it's course, but it's eh. Iffy. xD

The only thing I know that I am allergic to are certain types of incense. It always makes me into a coughing, sneezing mess when I'm around the stuff. XD

I'm allergic to gluten (wheat, rye, barely and oats). So I get sick a lot, and the results aren't pretty. I just have to rest for a few days afterwards.

I suffer from seasonal sinusitis, get all messed up with every season change, especially in Spring when everything's starting to blossom (pollen) and in Winter, when there's lots of dust in the air. I've also noticed that my nose starts to run and sometimes itches when I'm near horses, dogs and cats. But that doesn't bother me - won't keep me away. Lol

Decongestants and lots of Vit. C - and a nasal cleanout with a mix of bicarbonate of soda, salt and luke-warm water also works a treat. Hope you feel better soon (*hug*)

I think I'm lactose intolerant, but since I barely have any animal products, its not much of a problem. I used to be asthmatic but I haven't had problems in years.
