Dream job?

    As far as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a vet. I've loved playing, seeing or working with animals. Animals just fascinate me, domesticated or wild. I would like to do all I can to help them, and being a vet would be an enjoyable job. I'd get to work with other animal lovers, and the animals themselves! :grin:

    What is your dream job? Do you have that job as an occupation now? If not, would you take it if you were given the opportunity to?

    My dream job would be to be a heavy metal star but unfortunately I don't think it really exsits any more. :frowning2:

    I'd love to be one of those well known YouTubers and create videos on a weekly basis but I lack the charm and personality. :slight_smile:

    Other than that, a big name music producer. I would kill for a job like that.

    Even though I would very much like to be a vet, the grades you need are similar to what you need to qualify to be a doctor, and that isn't easy! My maths sucks, so that has brought me down, and I'm not as good as I thought at Chemistry and Physics compared to Biology. Complications with A-level subject choices probably have messed up my chances of becoming a vet since you *need* two sciences or Biology and maths. Because of clashes, I can only get one.

    But that won't stop me! I may be accepted into a veterinary college and do a course there. I don't mind as long as I get to work with animals. There are loads of places I could apply to, zoos, wildlife parks etc.

    Work hard to achieve your dreams, and they just may come true. Don't give up because it may not be right for you. If that's what you really would enjoy doing, then ignore what other people may say and go for it!

    Hmm, interesting question.

    I'd like to be an activist. There are a number of causes I'd be willing to fight for. Human rights, and all the equality issues associated, including feminism, racial equality, LGBT rights, disability etc. Animal rights. Secularism. Education. Anarchism. Anything like that.

    Or

    I'd like to be involved in a revolution :grin:

    Or

    I'd like to be a superhero :grin:

    We said dream job right. It doesn't have to be possible.

    I have my dream job/career. I am electrician, have been since I was 13. It's the only job I have ever held. As a kid, I used to always hang out and play around construction sites, one day I was offered $5 an hour to wire homes, in 1976, this was a nice wage. I took to the job right off the bat, I just understood how it needed to be installed. every summer I would go wire homes, and 36 years later, here I am in a career, where I look forward to going to work everyday, because it's fun. I am lucky.

    I've always wondered if there are jobs even at supernatural levels, like are there real guardians (Santa, Easter Bunny, Sandman), or even guardians of nature etc.

    I like to write too, so that's something I wouldn't mind doing either. I suppose I could always combine the two together and write about animals. Wouldn't be the same without working with them though.

    Going on wild and dangerous, yet rewarding adventures like David Attenborough does is really inspiring too.

    I really want to work with music. I listen to music all days, and people have told me my sense in music is good. Otherwise I think acting would be really fun.

    My dream job would be to act. Not to be famous or anything, I'd hate that, but just to act. The weird thing is though I'm too nervous to join a drama club, firstly I don't know if I'm any good, and secondly I don't want to be a stereotype. So my dream job, within the realms of achievability, is to be a Spanish teacher.
