I do not understand why many Christians think their god is out to punish their entire country for the decisions of government and other citizens!

You would think a reasonable god would punish individuals, not nations. It is kind of like in the US, whenever a bad storm happens, "It was God's wrath on the sin of the nation!" Seriously? We live in 2013 and people still think a drought is caused by a god not being happy with them?

 

They are confused about the love of God. God is not like that. One day they will understand.

 

Such overuse of the upper case and misuse of apostrophes.

 

I believe in a loving God...why would religion want to teach that God is evil, closed-minded, and unloving...oh wait...maybe that's just the people using God as a scapegoat for their own personal judgments and bigoted beliefs!!

I also find it strange how some people think and claim that God would punish an entire country over a few individuals. Example, when homophobic people say that gays are the reason for 9/11. The LGBT etc community are not sinning of course just for being who they are. I was just using the homophobes way of thinking as an example.

I've always felt that they tend to think in absolutes, like good vs. evil, and are unable to compromise for any reason.
