This reminds me of the It Gets Better project. The evangelist; Oral Roberts, was almost idolized in my family. What was swept under the rug is that Oral had a gay son. HAD because his son committed suicide. His family blamed it on drugs. Here is a video from Robert's grandson, also gay. It's very moving.
