Well, I live in Texas, #45 on the list (putting 5s on everything); I guess we're not THAT bad. I could have been born in another state.

Well, looks like I'm going to Columbia  But really, I think it's most sensible for me to just stay in Canada. Maybe I'll visit Columbia some day.

My state, Arkansas, was at #26. Better than nothing...

  7. So #1 is Washington.
My parents were thinking of emigrating to Washington state before I was born... At least California is in the top 5.

I wish they ranked Canadian provinces/territories too.

I do get the feeling that Alberta is less LGTB-friendly, but otherwise I don't know how the different provinces and territories compare.

Montana is 36th. Not sure how my state ranked that high, because I can't wait to kill some homophobe in honorable combat...

No shit I want to go to Washington... Better fencing clubs there anyway.

You mean the District of Columbia, the capital of the United States, or Colombia, the South American country? Because I know that the District of Columbia was the lgbt friendlier place in the US, but no one calls it "Columbia," so I was confused .

My state's #4, and I'm in a pretty progressive area as far as LGBT rights go. Could be better but I'm not complaining.

Where I live is 26, right in the middle of the list. I marked all as important, except I marked "No" and unimportant on hate crimes, but that's because I think hate crimes in general are unnecessary area of law. The actions they outlaw are already covered by other laws.

Pennsylvania is 29. We're doing better than Alabama, but we're dead last as far as Northeastern states go. :/ It looks like I should move to NY, DC or WA after all.
