Well for those who don't know, today's earth day! =D Anyone doing something special/has done something special in the past for it? I remember back in 6th grade (US school goes to 12th grade, normally graduating at 18, for those who don't know US grade system), our school bought a bunch of redwood saplings (I live in one of the few places with a natural redwood park in the world) and we went with our eagle pal buddies (3rd graders who we "mentored") and all of us went and planted the saplings alongside the fence of the field, the saplings are now about 5-6 feet tall and are of course still growing
Well im driving 400 miles across england in a car... so i guess im not helping mother nature out there
*Is suddenly reminded of that infamous South Park episode: Terrance and Phillip behind the blow* *thinks everyone should look it up and watch it* "You care about the Earth, don't you?"
Hmmm, i thought the earth event was that last thing with all them lights out malarcky? o.0 Hmmm, i'm confused. :s
Well maybe that explains why a transport company I work with delivered me a little oak tree to plant. I did think it was a bit odd!
Earth gave me a massive case of hayfever today ; ; nearly crippling. Later, if I'm up for it, I'm headed to a friend's house later where I'll pretend to be a sanctioned psyker in Warhammer 40K: Dark Heresy. Sooo...not much of an earth day activity. We might recycle our soda cans!
No it is a very small oak tree so I will put it in a little pot on my window sill untill it is big enough to plant in the garden, maybe in a year or two... if it survives, I am not known for my green fingers!
