I mean your actual first name, not your username. (if you don't want to give your name, thats understandable).

You can google the meaning of your name.

For instance, mine is Alexander, and it means "defender of humanity".

Then, does your name's meaning fit your personality?

My name is "Tagreed". It's an Arabic word that translates to the singing of birds.

Fit my personality? I'm not sure.. I don't think so o_o. In language, the word is only used when birds are singing, and it's kind of difficult to compare myself to a bird. Also, I suck at singing.

Well, my birth name basically means "the new house". I wouldn't be able to say whether or not my personality could be likened to a new house. Maybe when I was born, but right now I feel like an aging house.

Richard: A strong ruler, brave leader or king's court. Don't mean to blow my own horn but I think it's fitting :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Also, I'm Dick, which I love.

:Edit: As true as that may be, I did not mean for it to sound like that... :S

Not a whole lot of people have my spelling (Lady Gaga does though, I recently found out, actually) but it is of Greek origin, and means "crown or garland".

    Hmm, kinda boring, right?

Well, my name is Colton, and it has two, kind of.

It comes from the Old English name Cola, which was derived from the word the word "col" meaning charcoal, and tun meaning town or settlement. So basically meaning a coal town or settlement, but can also be described as a "swarthy person."

And a more obscure etymology is that it comes from a Hebrew name which was related to horses, possibly meaning “a town of colt-breeding.”

    ---------- Post added 19th Jun 2013 at 08:34 PM ----------

It's funny cuz even though this is obviously not my birth name (I will never EVER disclose my birth name I am trying my best to forget it, and as far as you all will ever know my parents named me Rumplestilskin) it's not like I really even picked this name. It picked me. It's just who I have always been. I have always been Stefani. My sister said she remembers us being reaaally little and me calling myself that.

That is why it finally feels right when people say my name <3 now they're actually getting it RIGHT.

    My name is Alexander as well;

As for my middle name Jerick, which is hard to say the exact origins because different websites say different things. But one site says it means "gifted ruler;the peoples' ruler" since it's derived from the name Derek...and Erik. So confusing!

Vietnamese names are just simply common words that we use everyday, my mom wanted to name me Thiên, which means "Sky", but there was a conflict about my full name, it's just a superstitious thing, meaning if my name was "Sky" somehow my full name would turn out to be like "Two faces/ fickle".

So my grandma decided to name me Nguyên, which means "Unchanging/ remaining the same", it was an interesting story, though, I still like the other name more than this one.

Jameson means "Son of James". My dad's name is James, but the doctor who delivered be was a woman named Dr. Jameson, so when my mother named me she kinda hit a double whammy.

My boyfriend and I have both of those...only neither of us is named Will.

  19. Only 21 people in the US and Canada have my name. Seeing that I am in the closet I better not put it here. My sister has a habit of google searching people.

My name is a play on the name Joshua. Meaning has been explained above.
