If you see a guy with a speedo tan line, what do you think? Like it, turn off, or no opinion? Guys who swim competitively might do so indoors in a pool complex and maybe outside, and may not get tan lines. Speedo tan lines on people who don't swim as a sport or a serious hobby, to me, mean they are very deliberate and sexual.
I don't normally gaze below the waist  but I guess I consider all tan lines visually intriguing.
I think they're kind of funny. But then, I find speedos kind of funny. maybe because when I think of speedoes, I also think of a slang word for them 'budgie smugglers'; which makes me picture a man with a budgie (parrot) in his bathers haha.
I think there's an association of being tanned or slightly darker as being outdoorsy, active, healthy and generally sexier. I like being slightly tanned when that time of year is right, but people who are deeply tanned look ridiculous to me. On the other hand, someone's natural very pale skin tone when contrasted with dark features is very appealing to me. But, I think that's the reason for the appeal of tanning. It's an entire industry, if you think about it.
^ that's interesting. we're i come from, a dark complexion is looked down upon (i mean, i don't personally look down upon it, but ii'll admit i am so grateful i have fair skin, which is what years of brainwashing does to a person). come summer time i do everything i can to avoid getting tanned. industry absolutely, and so is the skin lightening one. all this fuss over skin! also, basques are famous for their pale skin and black hair (oh and blue eyes). perhaps you'd do well with a basque
Me, too. I hate tans. I like the look of healthy, natural skin. Hell, some people, like me, just can't tan.
I think there is a healthful quality about those who are sun-kissed! However, I'm sure most professional athletes utilize a tanning bed to avoid said tan-lines, LOL. I personally do not prefer them on myself or my lovers but a subtle glow benefits all.
