I am trying to write a story that I can turn into a script, and hopefully eventually into a video, But I am running out of ideas for character names. I have plenty of characters that I haven't gotten to yet but I can't think of any good names.

So I am asking you to post some names (both male and female), and if I decide to use them than I will probably post the character description that goes with the name.

    so far I already have:
    Timothy
    Sean
    Cody
    Bradan
    Sarah
    Tina
    Monica
(however last name suggestions for these would be good as well)

I do apologize if this comes off as harsh, but...

    Try this out

Name generators are a writer's best friend.

Lol, it's called "Let Me Google That For You." It's great for sarcastic responses. I'm normally not a fan of having a smart mouth, but it's too funny and useful to ignore. XD

Many of the names suggested are in typical Western fashion. How will your story play out? It might pay to name some characters more uniquely... perhaps.

Luthan raises a good point. What's the setting? If it's modern western civilization, the names will be totally normal*. But a change in setting or some other major story attribute can make names from something trivial to absolutely game-changing.

*Unless the fact that your character has a weird name affects the plot on its own. Think about Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue" for an example. He had a feminine name, so had to be extra-super-tough to prove he wasn't a wuss.

the setting is modern western civilization, so the names should mostly be normal, but there are a few oddballs in the story whose names should probably reflect that.

the story is going to be somewhere between a drama and romance (probably closer to drama though) and is based on some the events from my life along with some fantasy mixed in.

I've always liked slightly weird names for slightly weird characters. The perfect example in my mind is Imogen from Degrassi. It's an archaic, slightly corrupted girl's name popularized by Shakespeare, and the girl who has it is only barely crazy enough to be a threat XD.
