(Obviously the fear of death post set me off lol)

Yeah, would you be willing to die for anything? Like, a cause? Or a person? Or something else. I'm curious as to what might overcome someone's will to live.

I'd die for ... a lot of things.

Mostly LGBTQ... and a future (please please please let one be there) partner.

Or just to save me from the pain of anxiety and over-thinking.

I would die to save a member of my family. I care more for them than I ever would for me. Or if my death would mean that other people would live

Well I'd do absolutely anything for my mum and 3 sisters so they'd count. Then there's my future partner and children too.
On the cause front, corny though it may be, I'd happily die for others to experience actual equality.

I don't like this question because dying is easy. It is often quick and then you have no repercussions to deal with after.

The big question is what are you willing to live for. Living for LGBTQ rights will make a difference. Living for your kids will make a difference. Living for your partner will make a difference.

We are at a time that we are beyond the martyr thing in a lot of countries. Now we have to ask ourselves what we are willing to live for. Living for a cause is what makes a difference in our world.

Yeah, if you ever see one of those fascist utopias rise up again, [comment about what I'd do redacted for personal safety from the surveillance of the US government]...

    Err...let's just say...

Although I'd probably pick a musical piece that isn't representative of nationalism .

(*Ahem* Hell, I'm probably on a government watchlist as it is anyways...screw it). ^.^

I wouldn't. I get that this might be a horrible thing to say, but if I'm being completely honest, I can't imagine any situation where I would voluntarily sacrifice myself. I love life.

*stands tall* what would I live for? I live for my boyfriend. I live that someday, being gay will be perfectly legal across the planet, and there'd no longer be any hatred, especially in Christian culture, for us just because we're different. I live for the day a man can walk into a clinic and become a full woman. Most of all, I live for the day when I no longer need to fear being a T-girl because of what people think.

I would die for my little sister or my niece in a heartbeat and without a second thought. But to be 100% I don't know if I could say the same for anyone else. I would like to think I would die for *anyone* in my family but....really I don't know if that's true :frowning2:.

For a cause, no. Cuz I personally don't believe in spreading a message through bloodshed and that incudes my own. I would like to further my cause by instilling as much love, compassion, and understanding as I can in others not by making myself a martyr <3

I wouldn't be willing to die for anything or anybody. The idea of dying for something has always seemed pointless to me, especially when there is no confirmation that my death would actually achieve anything, and I have no intention of being cannon fodder.

However that doesn't mean that I wouldn't fight for a belief or for someone, but that dying would be absolutely pointless and serve no purpose.
