    I've had three crushes. Two were lithromantic, so the fact that they weren't reciprocated was just fine with me. The third was on a close friend. It was more normatively romantic; when she turned me down, I was heartbroken.

    Oh my gosh, I had the worst crush on a gay guy and about a million awful crushes on straight female friends. PAIN!!!!!!!!

    How about a straight crush that you once helped experiment while you yourself were experimenting. One of the most intimate and special moments of my life that was but it simply reaffirmed his belief in himself that he was straight. We maintained our friendship but I've not been the same with him since. :sigh:

    An unrequited crush led to more than one (probably crappy) angsty love poem in high school. My heart physically hurt thinking about "maybe" with her. I hope the intensity of that feeling hasn't dulled my sensitivity to loving others :S
